SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
The requirements for the position include:
- 2+ years of experience of at least one OO language (PHP, Java, .Net)
- Previous experience in web application development
- Experience with MySQL or another RDBMS
- Experienced in JavaScript (prototype,jQuery), AJAX and DOM
- Very good knowledge in Git, SVN or similar and Linux command line
- Knowledge in Agile software development methodologies and practices
Advantages:
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Software modeling skills using UML
- Experience with SOLR, Lucene, Fast, Autonomy
- Previous experience in interface design and usability
The responsibilities for the position include:
- Software design, solution design and implementation, including both new feature development and maintenance of existing systems
- To work estimation, prioritisation and tracking
- Development of test frameworks for unit and acceptance testing
- Ensure delivery of high quality, through peer review, test automation, and detailed attention to quality
- Ensure on-time delivery of product functionality to agreed targets
- Aid the customer support team in diagnosis and resolution of live customer defects
- Ensure timely and regular communication to all team members
- To work independently and as part of a team
- Conduct all communication internally and externally in English.
