Description: Developing Tools that coordinates user-accounts of different applications so that all applications use the same authentication credentials.
Therefore we need to get databases synchronized with active directory (or ldap) functionalities or using radius connectivity as a central account-storage.
Project status: Specialists for concept-work as well as realization needed.

Project-based profile: “Performance improvements Control Board - Logging and Reporting”
Based on: Basic profile
Description: Secure Services provide a huge amount of syslog-data to store and analyses.
Control Board (SMC) provides log-analysis queries on databases. Due to massive data amount of these logs it is different to provide fast queries in the web frontend.
Project status: This project has three phases: Analyzing current environment, changes on database-side and improvements on frontend side.

Project-based profile: “Automated provisioning of firewall and router configurations”
Based on: Basic profile
Description: Implementing ’easy-to-use-wizards’ into Control Board where firewall devices (multiple vendors) can be provisioned automatically.
There is a front-end part to be done as well as an existing multi-device driver that has to be improved in order to speed up standard-processes and improve efficiency.
Project status: Existing automation frameworks (Perl, MySQL, Linux) have to be improved.
IT-Security know how is highly recommended.
