Job Summary
Ex Deus is looking for a Senior Web Front-End Developer to define, evolve, and maintain the presentation layer systems for 10 international sites. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a proven ability to work autonomously when necessary. They also will have worked on large sites containing thousands of pages comprised of both static and dynamic content in multiple languages. We’re seeking a creative, self-starter with a strong attention to detail and quality. If you’re an experienced, highly-technical Web guru who likes to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment then we have the job for you.
Responsibilities
• create production-quality XHTML, CSS and JavaScript code for use in content management systems, Web applications (including eCommerce and electronic software distribution) and Flex based platforms
• Ensure the Web site’s cross-browser compatibility, link integrity and overall quality
• Work with adjacent technical teams as primary liaison to help enforce styles, provide advocacy for Web standards and ensure contemporary best practices
• Determine overall cohesiveness, functionality and appearance of Web sites elements such as navigation tools, page layout templates, images, Flash and form elements
• Chair and lead code reviews, and coach or train new staff including designers, back-end developers and other Web specialists
• Code and evolve HTML email that renders properly in a variety of Web-based email clients and several versions of Microsoft Outlook
• Scope and lead the implementation of new Web site sections and help maintain existing content
• Evaluate, recommend, and customize tools & techniques used by the team
• Create documentation for repeatable processes and projects
• Project manage large initiatives and troubleshoot issues on concurrent projects
