Description:
Looking for a highly talented Software Developer.
The project entails developing new APIs and enhancing existing APIs as part of a major platform release. The platform is built in Java and C++ code with SOAP-based APIs in XML, and handles a large volume of financial transactions. C++ is currently the primary need. This position requires the ability to understand large, multithreaded, secure web transaction processing systems. The environment is fast passed with responsibility for interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including software developers, product owners, business unit managers, QA engineers, legal, risk, compliance, global operations, and marketing teams, to drive toward a major web platform launch.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cross-functional relationships between the platform business unit and stakeholders in risk, global operations and legal business units as part of a major web platform launch
- Manage special projects related to the platform business unit\'s strategic plan
- Manage milestones related to a major developers\' event for a web services platform launch targeted to the software development community
- Provide data to be used at executive-level business reviews regarding status of strategic objectives
- Manage Change Requests as needed
- Provide regular status updates, including issue & risk management
Critical Success Factors:
- Self-driven software developer, with ability to understand big picture as well as criticality of individual tasks
- Ability to effectively own tasks and effectively communicate progress in daily Scrum meetings and through user story tracking systems
- Ability to quickly ramp up in a new environment with minimal supervision
