The IBM Mainframe 3rd line Support Engineer focuses on continuous operation, project and change management of the IBM Mainframe Systems, many of them within a high availability environment. The main goal is to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the customer's production environment and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in z/OS System Administration
• Solid knowledge in IBM Mainframe technology and architecture
• Very good knowledge of the IBM Mainframe operating system z/OS
• Strong knowledge of the IBM Mainframe maintenance philosophy and maintenance
• Very Good Knowledge of all main components of the zOS architecture (storage: DFSMS/dss, DFSMS/rmm, DFSMS/hsm; TSO; ISPF; Security; Batch; JES; SA; etc.)
• Very Good Knowledge of the IBM zOS Mainframe Security concepts; strong knowledge and experience in security administration (using RACF/ACF)
• Experience of managing z/OS Environments
• Analytical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Ability to analyze problems with experts from other domains (Application, database, network, hardware). Good judgement about criticality / priority of all tasks.
• Language: fluent in English
